Buxton

Normal pick-up radius is 40 road miles from Buxton. Longer starts are considered for multi-day walking holidays only.

Monday to Friday 8:00am to 6:00pm. Saturday 8:00am to 1:00pm.
Driving Days
Monday to Saturday by booking. First pick-up from 7:00am. Last return by 9:30pm.
Sundays
Closed Sundays except pre-booked club weekends agreed at least 6 weeks ahead.
January Closure
The buses close for the first full week of January for cleaning, checks and a short reset.

  • Walking date and whether it is fixed or flexible.
  • Passenger count, up to 16 on one vehicle.
  • Pick-up address, station, hotel or club base.
  • Walk start point with grid reference if known.
  • Walk finish point, pub name or lane collection point.
  • Preferred pick-up, drop-off, finish and return times.
  • Luggage, boots, poles and whether the £30 small trailer may be needed.
  • Any dogs, mobility notes or slower mixed group concerns.
  • Leader phone number for the printed day sheet.

Payment Terms

Deposit, Balance And Changes

Deposit

A £75 deposit secures the date once the route and hire price are agreed.

Balance

The balance is due 7 days before travel by bank transfer.

Route Changes

Changes to walk start or finish points are free up to 48 hours before travel if they stay within the agreed mileage band.

Booking Notice

Weekend dates from April to October usually need 4 to 6 weeks notice. Midweek dates usually need 10 working days notice.

Minimum Hire

Minimum hire is 3 hours at £165, even for short shuttles.

Not Offered

  • No stag or hen nights, pub crawls or party buses.
  • No airport transfers as a standalone job.
  • No unbooked taxi work or same-day call-outs.
  • No off-road driving, field access or unsuitable farm track pick-ups.
  • No Sunday driving unless part of a pre-booked walking weekend.
